Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participating in the 2017 Seattle Brain Cancer Walk benefiting brain cancer research in the Pacific Northwest.
Unfortunately, our family and friends are all too familiar with the devistating affects of this disease. Ruth Ross (47), a colleague and friend, passed away in 2008. A fellow coworker, Kim Hogle, took it upon herself and founded the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk as a response to an ill-funded research environment for glyoblastoma brain cancer. Since then, a friend, John Barrows (44), passed away in 2011, and in June 2015 my uncle, Kip Madsen, lost his tragic battle at age 58.
The money raised by this event goes directly to research at The Ivy Center at Swedish Medical Center here in Seattle. This research is creating huge strides in the fight against this terribly deadly disease.
I hope that you can join me this year by donating or walking with me. Every person who walks, donates, or volunteers, is helping make a positive impact on brain cancer research.
