Team Jane is participating in their 8th SummeRun this year! We are so pleased to be able to take part in this awesome event. Every year we have so much fun at the walk/run. This Team was started by Jane soon after being diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in January 2012. Jane is now a 7 year survivor! Sadly, during these years, we have lost her second cousin (Jane) and her husband's aunt (Dorothy) to ovarian cancer. This gives us even more reason to raise funds for research, for the women who will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and deserve the best treatment possible to put this illness in their rear view mirror.
Make a Move to End Ovarian Cancer!
Our wonderful team is participating in the 2019 Swedish SummeRun & Walk for Ovarian Cancer. The SummeRun & Walk provides a powerful day of support and hope to people who are battling ovarian cancer and the people who love them. Proceeds from the run and walk will support the life-saving work of the Rivkin Center, a Seattle-based non-profit that has become a principle catalyst for national and international research efforts aimed at finding solutions to ovarian cancer.
Since its establishment in 1996, the Rivkin Center has awarded over $11 million in research grants to scientific investigators around the world, making the organization one of the largest private nonprofit funders of ovarian cancer research in the United States. The Rivkin Center also supports education and awareness for ovarian cancer and breast cancer, and early detection high-risk screening.
Please consider joining us this year by donating or signing up for our team. Every person who walks/runs, donates or volunteers is helping make a positive impact on ovarian cancer research, education, awareness, and early detection.
