The 2019 Swedish SummeRun & Walk

The Overcomers

Welcome Friends, Family, and all who knew Diane Gamman,

Since 2014 the Overcomers have participated in the Swedish SummeRun & Walk, led by our captain Diane Gamman. My mom, Diane, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in late 2013. Diane was adamant about spreading awareness of this disease. She walked this SummeRun with purpose and determination two years straight. It is with a broken heart that I fill the captain's position for the fourth year, as my mom went to be with Jesus on April 5, 2016.

In honor of Diane, please consider joining the Overcomers. My mom was not fortunate enough to overcome her disease, and it left a devastating hole in many people's lives. Hopefully we can help other women overcome their battles with ovarian cancer through raising money for research.

Every person who runs, walks, comes to support the team, donates, or volunteers is helping make a positive impact on this fatal disease. The 5-year survival rate for women with ovarian cancer is 46%, according to The American Society of Clinical Oncology. Please help us raise money so more women can Overcome this detrimental disease.

Thank you for your support!

Welcome Friends,

Our wonderful team is participating in the 2019 Swedish SummeRun & Walk for Ovarian Cancer. The SummeRun & Walk provides a powerful day of support and hope to people who are battling ovarian cancer and the people who love them. Proceeds from the run and walk will support the life-saving work of the Rivkin Center, a Seattle-based non-profit that has become a principle catalyst for national and international research efforts aimed at finding solutions to ovarian cancer.

Since its establishment in 1996, the Rivkin Center has awarded over $11 million in research grants to scientific investigators around the world, making the organization one of the largest private nonprofit funders of ovarian cancer research in the United States. The Rivkin Center also supports education and awareness for ovarian cancer and breast cancer, and early detection high-risk screening.

Please consider joining us this year by donating or signing up for our team. Every person who walks/runs, donates or volunteers is helping make a positive impact on ovarian cancer research, education, awareness, and early detection.

  • You can join my team at this year's Walk on Sunday, July 14 by clicking the "JOIN TEAM" button on the right.
  • You can also help by donating. It's easy to make a gift by clicking the "DONATE NOW" button on the right.

Thank you for your support.
