Jackie and I are participating in the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk this year on Sunday, May 6. Proceeds from the Walk support ongoing brain cancer research and clinical trials in the Pacific Northwest.
As some of you may know, this event has special meaning to our family. In January, Jackie's sister, Georgie, was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor known as a Glioblastoma. She is currently being treated at Swedish Hospital. Those of you who know Georgie will agree she is the best, thus, the name of our Team is "Team Georgie". We hope you will consider registering to walk with our team ($25 registration fee) and/or contributing $10.00. If each of our friends donated $10.00, we would meet our team fund raising goal of $1500.
We hope you will join us for this difficult, but special event in our lives, honoring Georgie and others who have this disease.
Here are two ways that you can help us get one step closer to a cure for brain cancer:
1. Walk with us and give hope to those undergoing treatment and help inspire the community into action.
2. Contribute to our fundraising goal by making a donation. Just click the link below to "donate" and search for TEAM GEORGIE.
We would be so grateful if you would join and/or sponsor us. Together, we can end brain cancer.
