Join us virtually and Walk Your Way! Registration is now open for the 2021 Virtual Seattle Brain Cancer Walk! 

While we were hoping to walk side-by-side this year, we look forward to seeing our resilient community connect safely online. However you choose to participate, our mission remains the same. Event proceeds will benefit brain cancer research and clinical trials across the Pacific Northwest.

How do I register for the Walk?

Register as a virtual walker online at braincancerwalk.org The first 150 online registrations will receive a Seattle Brain Cancer Walk Adult Sized Facemask.  

Can I register other people online?
You may only register members of your immediate family who are under the age of 18, and you may do so using your email address for each of them. Anyone who is not a family member or who is over 18 must register themselves with a unique email address.

Can I use my login credentials from previous years?

If you registered in one of these years - 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020 you will need to log in as a past participant. If you do not remember your username, please select "email me my login information". 

Can I access my photos, contacts and text from last year?
The text and photos from your 2020 personal page will be accessible. If you need assistance, please email seattlebraincancerwalk@swedish.org.


Donation 

What do I do if someone gives me a cash or check donation?
Please mail to Swedish Medical Center Foundation, Attn: Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, 747 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122.  If cash, please include this form so they receive a tax receipt. If you have multiple donations, please attach this form when mailing in to the above address.

How can I make sure the donation I’m sending will be credited to my team?
Please include the name of the participant you are supporting in the memo area of the check. If you are supporting a team and not an individual, please include the team name in the memo area, and be aware that team donations are credited to the team captain for bookkeeping purposes. You may also make a general donation to the Brain Cancer Walk.

My donation didn’t go through, or isn’t showing up on the webpage. What should I do?
Please be patient. Donations typically take a couple of hours to show up on the website. If you have already waited to see if it will display, contact us! We want to make sure all of your hard work and generous donations show up on your page within a reasonable amount of time.

My donation was applied to the wrong person. What should I do?
If your donation is showing on the website, but it is not credited to the intended participant, please email or call us, and we will be happy to fix it (seattlebraincancerwalk@swedish.org or 206-320-5260).


Participant Center

What is and how do I access my Participant Center?
The Participant Center is the online portal where you can check your fundraising progress, send email solicitations and thank yous, and update your Personal Fundraising Page and your Team Fundraising Page (if you are a captain). Step by step instructions for accessing your Participant Center 

What information will I be able to keep for next year?
All of the information (text, photos, contacts, and anything else) on your Personal Fundraising Page will be stored there for next year. Please move anything you would like to keep onto your Personal Page from your Team Page.

How do I edit my personal or team page content?
Personal and Team Fundraising Pages have default content when you register for an event. We highly recommend that you personalize your page(s) to tell your own (or your team's) story and why the event is important to you. Step by step instructions.

How do I send an email from my Participant Center?
Log in to your Participant Center and click the "email" tab to access the email functionality and then follow these step by step instructions. 


Facebook Fundraiser Tool

How do I use Facebook to fundraise for the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk?
Sign in to your Seattle Brain Cancer Walk website Participant Center. Click here for directions on how to sign into your Participant Center.  There you will find a "Create Facebook Fundraiser" tool – just follow the prompts and your Seattle Brain Cancer Walk page will be connected to Facebook. From there you can easily share your fundraiser with your followers!

What if I create a fundraiser directly through Facebook for the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk?
First thank you for your support!  All monies raised through the SBCW Facebook page will still support brain cancer research and the clinical trials at the Ivy Center. Unfortunately, these dollars will not count towards your personal fundraising goals. If you would like the donations to show directly onto your fundraising page on the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk website, please create the Facebook Fundraiser through your Participant Center of the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk website. See directions above.

How can I view my Seattle Brain Cancer Walk fundraising effort?
You can see donations on your personal page at braincancerwalk.org as well as under the fundraiser tabe on your Facebook page.

How long can I fundraise via the Facebook tool?
The Facebook fundraiser page ends December 31, 2021. 


Event Info

Where can participants get shirts?
Raise $100 and Earn a T-shirt. Wear your fundraising accomplishment on your sleeve – literally. When you raise $100, you’ll earn the official Seattle Brain Cancer Walk event T-shirt.

Where can survivors get shirts?
When registering, indicate that you have been diagnosed with brain cancer and you will receive a Survivor Seattle Brain Cancer Walk Event T-shirt.
